Backup superlatives with facts

For example, if you are stating that a product is the best on the market – state why! What makes this product better than its competitors? What features does it have that differentiates it from the other 10 similar items?
Consider using mini-stories
Mini-stories add a degree of realism to your product descriptions. They add a personal element that customers can easily relate too. The story doesn’t have to be too involved or complicated – It should simply be a real life situation that helps to show the usefulness of your product and its real-world application.
Ensure it is easy to follow
Does your product description flow logically? Will a customer be able to follow it easily? Does it contain one large block of text or is it split into several easy to read bullet points? Ease of use is extremely important to ensure customers do not get frustrated reading your description and can easily find the information they need.
Too much technical jargon can be baffling and often overwhelm a custom. While facts and figures can be extremely useful and help show the technical aspects of a product, try and use them sparingly. Use milder language and terminology where possible, and consider the description as if you were a customer with no technical knowledge – Would you be able to understand what it means?

Many product descriptions completely miss the point and do not actually inform the customer of the products benefits. Be clear on why a customer should purchase this item! How will it improve their life? What advantages does it provide? What features does it have that warrant spending hard earned money to buy it?
